Terms of use.

The ground rules for using this site. Plain language where we can, legal precision where we have to.

Who runs this site

This site is operated by the Delac Foundation, a private philanthropic foundation. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

What this site is for

The site describes the Foundation, the people behind it, the work we fund, and how to apply. It is informational. The site is not a contract, an offer to fund, or a guarantee that any specific application will be considered or funded.

Submissions you send us

  • Grant applications. When applications are open, you can submit information about your organisation and project. We use that information only to evaluate the application. See the privacy notice for retention details.
  • Contact and volunteer forms. Messages you send through forms are used to reply and to follow up. They are not shared outside the Foundation.
  • Accuracy. Information you submit must be accurate to the best of your knowledge. Misrepresentation may disqualify an application and, where material, may require return of funds already disbursed.

What you can do with site content

You may read, share, link to, and quote pages on this site for non-commercial purposes — journalism, education, internal research — provided the Foundation is credited and the meaning is preserved. The DF monogram and the "Delac Foundation" wordmark are reserved; do not use them in a way that implies endorsement or partnership without written permission.

What we do not promise

  • · The site is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it accurate and online; we do not guarantee either.
  • · External links are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for content on third-party sites.
  • · We may change the focus countries, the application process, the timeline, or the grant terms as the Foundation evolves. Material changes will be communicated.
  • · To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Foundation is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site.

Donations and funding

The Foundation is privately funded by its founder Matt Delac. We do not currently accept external donations. If that changes, the terms will be updated and any donation process will have its own specific terms.

Governing law

The Foundation is registered in Estonia. These terms are governed by Estonian law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws provisions. Disputes arising from use of this site will be heard by Estonian courts, except where consumer-protection rules of your country of residence require otherwise.

Changes

If these terms change materially we will publish the new version here and bump the date at the top. Continued use of the site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
