FAQ
Common questions.
- Can individuals apply?
- No. The Delac Foundation funds legally registered organisations only — NGOs, schools, and social enterprises. We do not fund individuals, even for education-related projects.
- Do you fund religious instruction?
- No. We do not fund religious instruction, political campaigning, or for-profit ventures. A faith-affiliated NGO running a secular education programme is welcome to apply for that programme.
- My country is not on the list — can I still apply?
- Not for this round. The Foundation funds projects in Portugal, Estonia, Thailand, Burkina Faso, Morocco, and Ukraine only. The country list reflects places where Matt Delac has personal relationships and can show up annually.
- How much is the grant, and how is it paid out?
- Each grant is €100,000, disbursed in five tranches over 24 weeks. The first tranche (25%, €25,000) is released on signing; the remaining four (€18,750 each) are released against monthly progress reports.
- How are applications reviewed?
- Acknowledgment within 5 business days, a 30-minute conversation with our team, then the board reviews at its next quarterly meeting. You will receive a written decision — yes or no, with reasons — within six weeks.
- When does the first round open?
- Early 2027. Join the waitlist on this page and we'll email you the day applications open. We send no other email.
