Bhumi's Story Interest in coding came alongside curiosity and a desire to understand and create technology shaping our world. Early in my schooling, I was introduced to some very basic principles regarding programming. I remember, more than anything else, it was the very idea of instructing a computer and making something from scratch that excited me so much. I was attracted to SheCodes from the moment I learnt of its mission to empower women in learning how to code in a very supportive and collaborative environment. The platform provides technical skills for women but at the same time builds a strong community. This perfectly aligns with my goal: to contribute to a more inclusive tech industry while I am still growing and challenging myself to code.

🙋‍♀️ Bhumi's Motivation

I have a passion to learn more about coding and be creative in the digital world, not only for technical skills. I am an experimenter, so even as a computer science engineer student I can see all the opportunities near me and i want to better at coding to create innovative products which are difficult or impossible resolve. SheCodes is a comfort zone for me to step outside of my own and learn from the industry, in an environment with like-minded people. The hackathon showed me how to connect ideas with coding, which happened to be a tool on my swiss army knife of skills for solving problems and it reignited that fire within me about using technology in order make some positive impact.

🤹‍♀️ Bhumi's Hobbies

Books reading that steps in to give me a little break from the screen. I get engrossed by books on technology, self-improvement, and psychology since they offer new perspectives and inspiration for personal growth. I am also very fond of getting lost in fiction, as this helps one to let go and fire up one's creative juices. I also love being outdoors. From taking a quiet walk in the park, or even just sitting by the lake, I find that nature refines me very well. It is a fine way of cleaning the mind and getting re-energized.

The Delac Foundation is changing that. We provide women in developing countries with free coding education, equipping them with the skills to build a better future. In partnership with SheCodes, we offer training in product development, design, and management, empowering women to thrive in the tech industry.
